Adult mental health services offered

Metrocare offers one-to-one and group therapy for children, adolescents, and their families, including trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy.

As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, Metrocare care coordinators will ensure your child’s mental and physical health needs are met comprehensively, and that all possible barriers to care are addressed. Care coordinators and case managers will work with the child’s natural supports from caregivers to school personnel to other medical providers.

Help building the social skills needed to thrive in daily life like anger management, improved communication, and socialization skills.

Medications are not always recommended as part of treatment, but if they are, Metrocare’s medical team includes Child Psychiatrists and Nurse Practitioners that work with the family to determine the appropriate medications and then monitor the youth for progress.

Our ePEP program is currently located at our Samuel Clinic. To qualify for ePEP, individuals must be between the ages of 15 and up, have experienced their first psychotic break within the last two years, and are actively experiencing psychosis, with a qualifying diagnosis.

If you think Metrocare’s ePEP program is what you or your loved one needs, visit our ePEP page for more details.

Support from an individual who has experienced a mental health challenge and can encourage you in your own recovery journey.

Clients may call their Metrocare clinic pharmacy to refill prescriptions. Press 1 and enter your prescription number to submit a refill or Press 0 to speak to a pharmacist. Prescriptions usually ready for pick up the following business day or may be mailed upon the client’s request. For those uninsured, Metrocare may provide assistance for clients unable to afford their medications.

Metrocare has extensive partnerships with Dallas County criminal justice entities to ensure individuals involved in the criminal justice system receive the highest quality mental health care. Specifically, Metrocare’s Special Needs Offenders Program (SNOP) is a forensic psychiatric clinic that offers a full range of outpatient mental health services. Click here for more info.

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is an intensive, community-based program for adults. ACT is designed to serve adults who are struggling with the most severe symptoms and needs.
