Nakeem Nicholas serves as Operations Manager at The Ship Group Behavioral Health & Community Services (TSGBH), providing day-to-day leadership that keeps the agency running smoothly, consistently, and in alignment with payer and state expectations. In this role, he oversees daily operational execution across key functions—supporting workflow coordination, staff accountability, client flow, and internal systems that protect quality and continuity of care. Nakeem works closely with leadership and program teams to ensure operations are responsive, organized, and scalable, while maintaining a professional, client-centered environment that supports timely access to services and strong community partnerships.
Nakeem brings a strong blend of operational and behavioral health leadership experience to TSGBH. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and has a background in high-volume, performance-driven operations within a major corporate environment—building strengths in process management, team coordination, and efficiency. In behavioral health, he has served in leadership roles including Peer Support Program Supervisor, Qualified Professional, and Peer Support Specialist, with a hands-on understanding of what it takes to deliver services with integrity in real-world community settings. He is a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) and a North Carolina Notary, and he is committed to building systems that are both compassionate and accountable—supporting TSGBH’s mission to deliver high-quality care while maintaining operational excellence, compliance readiness, and measurable impact.
