Peer support is primarily a face-to-face, recovery-focused service delivered in natural community settings. Limited telehealth may be used only when clinically appropriate and allowed by policy and the person-centered plan.
Eligibility depends on age, diagnosis, functional need, assessment, service order, health-plan authorization and county availability. Peer Support is not emergency care and does not replace therapy, medication management or medical treatment.
