Structured outpatient recovery
SAIOP provides a structured level of substance-use treatment for adults who need more support than weekly counseling but can safely remain in the community. The program combines group treatment, individual support and coordinated recovery planning.

Care is individualized. Your assessment and treatment plan determine the goals, frequency and services that are appropriate for you.
Recovery education, relapse prevention, coping skills, triggers, relationships and practical problem solving.
Individual counseling and family involvement are included when clinically indicated and authorized.
Connection with medical, psychiatric, peer, housing, employment and other recovery resources as needed.
TSGBH generally organizes SAIOP as three program days per week, approximately three hours per day. Exact days, format and location depend on program schedule, payer rules and clinical needs.
Admission requires a qualifying assessment, diagnosis, ASAM-based level-of-care recommendation and any required authorization. People needing withdrawal management, residential or inpatient care will be referred to a safer level of treatment.
