CHARLOTTE, N.C., September 18, 2026 — Kerry L. Shipman, Ph.D., J.D., founder and chief executive officer of The Ship Group Holdings and a behavioral-health executive, has been accepted into Forbes Business Council.
Shipman brings experience in business leadership, public service, behavioral health and criminal justice research. A former North Carolina Magistrate serving Mecklenburg County, he holds a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Liberty University, a Juris Doctor and a Master of Public Administration. His work connects organizational accountability with the practical challenges of care delivery, justice and community support.
