Christina Evans, MSW, LCSW is the Clinical Director at The Ship Group Behavioral Health & Community Services (TSGBH) and a licensed clinical social worker with 8+ years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults across a wide range of behavioral health needs. Her background includes high-acuity work in major healthcare systems as an Inpatient Case Manager with Duke University Health System, as well as experience within the federal Veterans health system (VA) supporting complex care coordination needs. Alongside her healthcare system experience, Christina has built a strong clinical foundation through community-based mental health in North Carolina, private practice, medical social work, and supervision, with clinical focus areas that include anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, identity concerns, perfectionism/imposter syndrome, grief, and relationship or family conflict.
As TSGBH’s Clinical Director, Christina leads with a clear standard: person-centered care that is clinically excellent, outcomes-driven, and documentation-sound for payers and partners. She oversees clinical quality and consistency across the agency, strengthens therapist performance through coaching and supervision, and drives systems that support medical necessity, treatment planning, progress monitoring, and audit readiness—all while keeping the client experience supportive, respectful, and empowering. Her therapeutic style is known for being solution-oriented, direct, and strengths-based, integrating evidence-based approaches such as CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, ACT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based strategies to help clients build stability, strengthen coping skills, and make meaningful change in daily life.
