Elton Amos, MD, MPH serves as Medical Director at The Ship Group Behavioral Health & Community Services (TSGBH), providing physician-level leadership and medical oversight across our service lines. A board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Amos brings extensive experience spanning primary care, public health, and complex-system medicine. His background includes senior medical leadership roles in large-scale healthcare environments, where he supported clinical operations, care standards, and system-level accountability—experience that strengthens TSGBH’s commitment to safe, effective, and coordinated care.
In his role at TSGBH, Dr. Amos helps ensure clinical integrity by supporting evidence-based protocols, interdisciplinary coordination, and strong quality and risk-management practices. He partners with agency leadership and clinical teams to reinforce medical necessity alignment, care coordination for individuals with co-occurring needs, and consistent standards that support outcomes while meeting payer and community-partner expectations.
