TSG Behavioral Health leadership team in front of the Elizabethtown office sign

TSG Behavioral Health & Community Services is strengthening its leadership structure as the organization continues to expand access, improve care coordination, and build a more accountable system of behavioral health and community-based care.

We are pleased to announce Nakeem Nicholas as Executive Director and Gabriele “Gabby” Brown as Operations Manager of TSG Behavioral Health & Community Services.

Strengthening Leadership for the Next Phase of TSG

As Executive Director, Nicholas will provide agency-wide leadership with a focus on organizational performance, program outcomes, compliance, financial performance, strategic growth, and strengthening relationships with payers and community partners.

Brown, as Operations Manager, will lead critical day-to-day operations, including program and supervisor oversight, staff accountability, client flow, documentation follow-through, and operational compliance.

Together, this leadership structure supports a clear organizational priority: building reliable systems, developing strong leaders, improving accountability, and ensuring that quality care does not depend on any one individual or department.

Focused on Access, Accountability and Outcomes

Behavioral healthcare continues to require stronger coordination across providers, families, physical healthcare, social services, courts, payers, and community organizations. TSG’s leadership team is focused on reducing fragmentation and ensuring that our programs are responsive to the real needs of the communities we serve.

Our priorities remain clear: timely access to services, continuity of care, measurable outcomes, regulatory compliance, strong community partnerships, and whole-person support.

“As TSG continues to grow, strong leadership and accountability at every level are essential. Nakeem and Gabby understand our mission, our communities, and the responsibility we have to deliver accessible, high-quality care. This structure positions our organization to continue strengthening outcomes, partnerships, and the systems that support the people we serve.”

— Kerry L. Shipman, Ph.D., Founder & CEO

This leadership transition represents another step in TSG’s continued development as a dependable, community-focused behavioral health provider serving individuals and families throughout North Carolina.
